International Conference "The Political Economy of Taxation"
This interdisciplinary conference seeks to illuminate a broad range of issues around the shaping of taxation policy in contemporary states, with a particular focus on European countries, but reflecting on the centrality of taxation for economic and social development in general. The conference will include plenary sessions with keynote presentations by international scholars and workshop sessions dealing with particular and current features of taxation policy. There are four core themes which will be covered by the conference sessions: - Taxation, Tax Culture and Taxation Reform in European Countries - Taxation Policy in the European Union - Taxation, Taxation Policy and Development - Recasting Taxation Policy: Principles and their International Implications
