International Symposium "Biographies of the Financial World"
The focus of the symposium is threefold:
- present new knowledge on family capitalism in the financial world
- discuss issues related to succession problems
- analyse the pros and cons of commissioned research and discuss the scientifically-based biography as a genre.
Each part of the focus is related to a set of questions:
Are there any distinguished set of corporate governance principles attached to family capitalism, in the context of banking? To what extent are principles and strategic choices embedded in specific religious or secular movements? Is profit maximization and/or the blood line everything?
