One-day workshop on - "International Political Economy and Cross-Border Effects"
The workshop aims to look at cross-border effects within a somewhat wider disciplinary framework than pure economics. Empirical and theoretical economic papers are encouraged, but so are multidisciplinary articles. This workshop will be a forum to discuss the latest political economy related issues. Our goal is to select a small number of papers in order to allow for feedback and debate from participants. Topics: - Global and regional governance - Human and civil rights - Environmental spillovers and treaties - Development assistance - The role of the World Bank/IMF/WTO - Linkages between trade and governance/human rights/environment
