Open Policy Meeting: International Poverty Measurement: Current State and Options for the Future
The purpose of this policy meeting is to discuss the current state and future options for international poverty measurement. It will discuss the new poverty line of $1.90 poverty line, review the results from the international comparison or prices project and their implications for poverty measurement, and discuss future ways to measure income poverty across the developing world, also taking into account the on-going work by the Commission of Global Poverty.
