Ph.d. Course “Strategic behaviour in fisheries: Applied coalition game modelling”
The aim of the course is to explore the advances and recent methods of coalition games applied to economics of fisheries management. The course begins by introducing the students to the essence of game theory and why and how it should be applied to fisheries and fisheries economics. This is done in a series of theoretical lectures. A second part of the course aims at giving an overview of the existing applications. The last part of the course provides the students with some basic knowledge and hands on experience with game-theoretic modelling by using the Matlab software.
