Resolution regimes for financial institutions - Centre for Central Banking Studies
This seminar offers participants with expertise in this field the opportunity to review and discuss the many aspects of resolution regimes, including the latest policy developments and operational challenges in a domestic and a cross-border context. The following topics are likely to be covered: - a stock-take on the implementation of the G20 Financial Stability Board’s Key attributes of effective resolution regimes for financial institutions, with a focus on resolution tools and recovery and resolution planning for G-SIFIs; - an update on FSB country peer reviews and resolvability assessments; - the European Union’s new framework for financial crisis management and resolution; - mechanisms for improving resolvability; and - the resolution of non deposit-takers, eg financial market infrastructures.
