Stockholm Institute for Financial Research Conference on Corporate Governance
The first goal of this conference is to bring together leading academics with corporate governance professionals, such as board members, institutional investors, and policymakers, to discuss the policy implications of recent research on corporate governance. The first conference day will feature presentations by leading academic researchers in the field. The presentations will be accompanied by panel discussions, where practitioners get to express their views on the featured topics. Academic presenters on this first day will include Lucian Bebchuk (Harvard Law School), Steven Kaplan (University of Chicago), Chester Spatt (Securities and Exchange Commission and Carnegie Mellon University), David Yermack (New York University), and Luigi Zingales (University of Chicago). The second goal of the conference is to provide an academic forum howcasing the frontier in corporate governance research. Hence, the second conference day takes an academic conference format. There will be eight presentations of recent research papers, each followed by a discussion. Attached is a preliminary program.
