The Adam Smith Institute’s 2nd Annual Metering Forum
Sustainability policies and supply challenges are driving the development of smart metering in the energy industry, and more widespread and advanced metering solutions for the water industry. Whilst the challenges of interoperability, integration and competition remain to be overcome, advances in metering offer energy retailers the opportunity to diversify their services and differentiate themselves in a busy marketplace. As well as contributing to water efficiency goals, metering can facilitate the delivery of enhanced services to water customers through a greater understanding of consumption trends. Building on the great success of our 2007 metering event and the established reputation of our industry-leading The Future of Utilities conference, this event will provide a platform for key industry figures to explore and debate these issues.
