The Institute of Economic Affairs' conference 'MiFID'
The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive will bring fundamental change to the way financial markets and financial institutions operate. Internally it will affect systems, processes and organisation and externally it is likely to have far-reaching consequences for the structure of markets and the nature of interaction between players. However, with the exact details of the directive yet to be finalised and an implementation deadline of November 2007, industry executives are understandably concerned about the scale of the challenge ahead. The Institute of Economic Affairs' conference 'MiFID' is the only conference on the market which combines a strategic-level overview of the directive's implications for market structure with streamed practical implication workshops for the buy-side and the sell-side.
