Análisis Mesoeconómico: Perspectiva Histórica y Aportaciones Recientes/Mesoeconomics: Historical Overview and Recent Trends.

In this paper, we present the state-of-the-art in the so-called Meso-economic Analysis. The paper begins with a heuristic approach, showing the necessity of the mesoeconomic point of view as a link between the individual economic agents and the aggregate behavior. Then, we describe both the historical and academic background dating from the last forty years to nowadays. The work ends with a survey of the papers included in the Monographic issue. En este trabajo se realiza un recorrido por el Análisis Mesoeconómico. Se inicia con una aproximación heurística a su concepto, que evidencia la necesidad de su consideración a la hora de concectar los agentes individuales con el comportamiento de los agregados. A continuación se describen los antecedentes históricos y académicos, que se remontan al último tercio del siglo pasado, para concluir con las perspectivas más recientes. El trabajo finaliza con una breve reseña de los artículos incluidos en el Monográfico.
