Corporate Language bei Bene
Die vorliegende Masterarbeit behandelt die Themen Terminologie- und Übersetzungsmanagement als Qualitätsfaktoren für die Unternehmenssprache, die Corporate Language. Zunächst wird die Corporate Language als Werkzeug der Unternehmenskommunikation (Corporate Communications) erläutert. Die Bedeutung der Unternehmenssprache für die Unternehmensidentität (Corporate Identity) und das Unternehmensfremdbild (Corporate Image) wird ausgearbeitet. Des Weiteren wird auf die Rolle eingegangen, die einerseits das Terminologiemanagement und andererseits das Übersetzungsmanagement - jeweils unter Verwendung eines Translation Memory Systems (TMS) - für eine (mehrsprachige) Corporate Language und die Verständlichkeit der produzierten Texte spielt. Anhand eines praktischen Beispiels (Implementierung des TMS SDL Trados 2007 bei der Bene AG, Waidhofen/Ybbs, Niederösterreich) wird dokumentiert, wie bei der Einführung eines Translation Memory Systems vorgegangen werden kann, welche Hürden zu überwinden sind und welche Vorteile der Einsatz eines Translation Memory Systems mit sich bringt. Die Ergebnisse der vorliegenden Arbeit veranschaulichen, in welchem Ausmaß ein Unternehmen von der Verwendung eines Translation Memory Systems profitieren kann. Außerdem zeigt diese Masterarbeit, dass einheitliche Unternehmensterminologie und konsistente Übersetzungen für ein durchgängiges sprachliches Auftreten eines Unternehmens sorgen und somit die Corporate Language positiv beeinflussen.
