Környezetvédelem és fenntarthatóság a hazai vállalati gyakorlatban

Absztrakt: A tanulmány a Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem Vállalatgazdaságtan Intézetében működő Versenyképesség Kutató Központ által 2009-ben lebonyolított kérdőíves felmérés adatait vizsgálja a hazai vállalatok fenntarthatósági és környezetvédelmi gyakorlata szempontjából. A tanulmányban először bemutatom a fenntartható fejlődés makroszintű definícióit és követelményeit, majd áttérek a vállalati fenntarthatóságra. A feldolgozott irodalom alapján mind a környezetvédelem, mind a fenntarthatóság vállalati szintű kezelésében két fő irányt fogalmazok meg. A tanulmány célja egyrészt a környezetvédelem és fenntarthatóság vállalati stratégiában betöltött szerepének, másrészt az azonosított két fő fejlődési tendencia megjelenésének vizsgálata a hazai vállalatok gyakorlatában. A három fő kutatási cél mentén, korábbi empirikus kutatások tapasztalataiból kiindulva hipotéziseket állítok fel, melyeket a versenyképességi kutatás adatai alapján, leíró statisztikai módszerek segítségével értékelek. ; Abstract: This paper aims to examine corporate practice in Hungary regarding environmental protection and sustainability based on the results of a survey on competitiveness carried out by the Competitiveness Research Centre of Corvinus University of Budapest in 2009. First, I introduce the definitions and requirements of sustainability in macroeconomic terms, then I examine corporate sustainability. Based on the literature I identify two main tendencies in corporate handling of both environmental protection and sustainability. The aim of this paper is to examine corporate practice in Hungary in terms of 1) the role environmental protection and sustainability plays in corporate strategy and 2) the presence of the two main tendencies identified. Following these main research objectives, taking results of previous empirical studies as a starting point, I set up hypotheses which I then analyse based on the results of the aforementioned competitiveness survey, using descriptive statistics.
