Features of RUP Methodology of the Modern Projection of Information Systems

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the RUP methodology of the modern projection of information systems. Among all manufacturers, IBM Rational Software Corp was one of the first companies which realize the strategic perspective of the development of object-oriented technology analysis and design of software systems. This company initiated the unification of the language of visual modeling within the OMG consortium, which led to the appearance the first versions of the UML's language. Rational Unified Process (RUP) is one of the most popular technologies. This methodology becomes an international standard, developed by Rational Software, which is currently the part of the IBM. UML authors are employees of the company Rational Software. RUP methodology is fully corresponding with the standards, defining project work in the process of life cycle of information systems. The following approaches are implemented in RUP methodology: iterative and incremental (stackable) approach, building the system on the base the architecture of information system; planning and project management which is based on the functional requirements for information system. Development of the information system is executed by iterations. These separate projects are small by volume and content, which include their own stages of the analysis of requirements, implementation, testing and integration. We made the conclusion the iterative cycle used in the framework of RUB methodology is characterized by periodic feedback and can adapt to the core of the developed system
