Fire‐fighters respond to modern management development

Firefighters spend less than 10 percent of their working time on emergencies. Yet the way they spend the other 90 percent of their working time directly influences how they respond to emergencies. Good leadership skills can help firefighters to make the most of the time they spend on their more routine tasks such as educating the public about fire risks.
