Technology of Business Process’ Description in the Contexts of Modernization of Information Systems

The paper deals with the problem of analysis of technology of description of business process in the context modernization of information systems. The technology of describing of business processes is executed through the process of the detailed description of all business processes of the company in the form of graphic models with the designation of all reciprocal links. Approved methodology, qualified personnel and the means of describing of business processes are needed for maximum of effectiveness of this technology. Modeling and analysis of business processes can be needed to solve others tasks of the company not only in the process of modernization of information system. For example, modeling and analysis of business processes can be needed for the certification of the management system quality according to ISO 9000 series, optimization of the structure of the company and quantity of personnel, formation of corporate regulations; the development of job instructions, the modernization of production and company re-engineering, minimization of costs and increase of efficiency of the company. Technology of describing of business processes involves the certain methodology, which includes description of the organizational structure of company, description of the information system of company, description of functions of units company, description of selected business processes of company, description of products and services of the company, the definition and construction of the tree of business-processes of the company, description of information flows of all business processes. We made the conclusion technology of description of business process in the context modernization of information system should involve description of the process of identification information flows which influence identification of business processes
